New SSP appointed in Kanpur

IPS officer Ajay Mishra, posted

with Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS), was today appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kanpur.

"Mishra has been appointed by the state government as new SSP of Kanpur. He was posted in ATS," IG, Law and Order Amrendra Sengar told reporters here.

SSP Kanpur Yashaswi Yadav was earlier transferred and attached to DGP office on High Court directions.

Yadav was charged with committing atrocity on doctors after they clashed with SP MLA Irfan Solanki in Kanpur on February 28.
