The new Tulu movie, 'Orivan Tunda Orivapuji' (If someone looks, the other won't like') hit the screens today amid much fanfare.
The premiere show of the movie in a language without script, was held at the Central theatre in the city.
Mangala Devi temple administrator Ramanath Hegde lighted the lamp at a function held at the theatre, marking the release of the film.

Addressing the gathering, Hegde said the movie was expected to be a great success like other Tulu movies, though a few in number.
The film's director Ha Soo Rajashekar said the movie should be promoted to strengthen the Tulu language and culture.
A Gangadhar Shetty has done the script for the film, which he has produced along with B Ashok Kumar.
The movie has been released in four centres in Mangaluru and one centre in Udupi. It would be released in Bengaluru, Puttur, Belthangady, Moodbidri, Mumbai and Kasaragod in Kerala soon, a release here said.
Arjun Kapikad and Prajwal Povaiah are playing the lead roles in the film.
