A Goa-based NGO would be launching an online channel where victims of commercial sexual exploitation will be sharing their stories.
Anyay Rahit Zindagi (ARZ), the NGO, will launch a YouTube channel on July 30, the World Day Against Traffickingin Persons.
The channel will broadcast audio recordings of experiences narrated by women who are victims of trafficking, said Arun Pandey, director of ARZ.
"The general perception is these women are in the trade to make money or they are enjoying what they do. Their true stories are never put in the public domain," he said.
As much as 80 per cent of women are pushed into the flesh trade when they are less than 16 years old, he said.

ARZ has compiled narrations of women from the red light areas of Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Goa.
The audios will also have ordinary people's views, and the women's responses to them.
ARZ has worked with Goa Police for rescue of victims of trafficking in the past. According to Pandey, there are organised gangs which push young girls into flesh trade.
While cases of rape get public and media attention, exploitation in the flesh trade is largely ignored, he noted.
