Nigerian arrested for possessing drugs in Goa

Okoh Ogbannaya Mikel(33) was arrested when he was found carrying cocaine, ganja and charas at the football ground in Calangute.

Police were investigating whether he was a consumer or peddler of the drugs, Inspector Nolasco Raposo said, adding a case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

This was the seventh case relating to narcotics registered with Calangute police station over the last two months and Nigerian nationals were involved in five of them, officials said.
