The Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has partnered with a French company Bureau Veritas to set up a laboratory here to conduct quality control tests for the metro.
Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing inspection and certification in infrastructure projects, will carry out the tests of material used in construction and other civil works of viaduct and stations of the metro, a statement issued here said.
While the infrastructure for the laboratory will be provided by NMRC, BVIL will provide its expertise. It will test basic parameters and also carry out advanced tests for durability, chemical analysis, consultation on specialised areas and electrical and mechanical services.
