Nominations of two candidates rejected in Nandigama

The nominations of two independent candidates for Nandigama assembly constituency bye election were today rejected by the returning officer P Rajanikanta Rao after scrutiny.

Nominations of Kama Srinu and Barre pullarao were rejected, Rao said.

That of others -- Tangirala Sowmya (TDP), Bodapati Babu Rao (Congress) and independent candidates Katarapu Pullaih and Matangi Pullarao were accepted.

The last date for withdrawal is August 30. Polling will be on September 13.
