A 20-year-old nursing student, allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan of his room in Goverdhanpura area here, police said today.
The youth Deepak Sharma, a resident of Tonk district, was a first year student of nursing at a private college and used to stay in a rented accomodation in Gumanpura police station area, Investigating Officer ASI Surajpal Singh said.
This morning, Deepak's landlord saw his body hanging from the ceiling after which the door was broke open and the youth was rushed to Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead, he said.

No suicide note was recovered from him, however, preliminary investigation suggested the deceased has likely taken the extreme step due to failure in love affair, Singh said.
The body was handed over to Sharma's family members after a postmortem and a case has been registered in this regard, he said.
Deepak's death is the third suicide by a student in Kota within last six days.
In the wake of rising number of suicide by students in Kota, the state government has called a meeting with the Kota District Collector and the stakeholders in coaching industry on December 10 in Jaipur.
More discussions and more concrete measures would come out through such measures, Kota district collector Dr Ravi Surpur had told reporters.
