Noted Odissi danseuse Pritika Kalra Gandhi was honoured with the prestigious National Nritya Shiromani Award for her outstanding contribution to promote the classical dance form.

Pritika was conferred with the coveted award at the ongoing week-long 5th Cuttack Mahotsav: International Dance and Music Festival-2104 being held at Cuttack for popularising the dance form outside Odisha.

The Delhi-based Odissi exponent, who received the award from eminent medical scientist Ramaraman Sarangi, also treated the audience at the festival to an enthralling solo performance.

A sincere and dedicated dancer, Pritika says it is her aim and desire to bridge borders and make friends across the globe through Odissi.
