One arrested in IPL betting racket

A man was arrested for allegedly running an illegal betting racket on IPL matches, police said today.

Rajesh alias Billu, a resident of Lohari village, was arrested from Sonipat last night, they said.

A laptop, LCD, 30 mobile phones, voice recorder, charger, betting slips and Rs 4,000 were seized from his possession, a police spokesman said here.

Rajesh was produced before a local court, which sent him in 14 days judicial custody.
