A man was arrested today for alleged involvement in posting a video footage with derogatory remarks about Lord Venkateswara of the famous hill shrine near here, police said.

The footage, believed to have been uploaded on video sharing site Youtube three years ago, created a flutter after a local TV channel telecast it yesterday.

Taking a serious note of it, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, which administers the cash-rich temple thronged by devotees from across the country, lodged a complaint with police in Tirumala.

The police arrested M Sudheer in Ramanagaram village in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh.

Four more persons, who are at large, involved in the issue would also be arrested soon, police added.
