The Mizoram police today seized more than 650 gram of heroin from a person in south Mizoram's Lunglei town and arrested him for possessing the contraband, police said.
The value of the seized contraband is estimated to be around Rs 25.50 lakh, the police said, adding, the 34-year-old man is a resident of Ngopa village near the Mizoram-Manipur border.
The accused was booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, a police officer said.
