A man was killed and two others were injured when some persons allegedly opened indiscriminate fire at a reception party after a heated argument with a rival group in Rajpur village here, police said today.
A group of people allegedly fired indiscriminately at Sonu's marriage reception party at around 11:45 PM yesterday after a heated argument with a rival group turned violent, SP (Rural) Ompraksh Yadav said.
The incident seems to be a fallout of an old enmity, he said.
Bhupendra (30) was declared brought dead by doctors at a hospital here while the injured Gyanendra and Kuldeep are undergoing treatment, the SP said.
An FIR has been registered against 10 people of the same village. Some of them have been detained for interrogation, he said.
