One Naxal was killed in a gun battle with the security forces today in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Bijapur district while two other ultras were arrested from Bastar region.
When the 204 battalion of CRPF reached Hirmapara village of Bijapur district during a patrol, the ultras opened indiscriminate fire at them, police said.
The security forces opened retaliatory fire in which one naxal was killed, they said.

Meanwhile, two Naxals identified as Mangel (48) and Mura (21) were arrested from Kanker and Sukma districts respectively, police officials of Bastar region said.
During interrogation, Mangel said that he was a former member of Barda and Kiskoro Dalam, they said.
