One policeman arrested for bike-lift, another ran away

A cop was arrested while allegedly stealing a bike from the Kanpur Railway Station, another ran away, Railway police said here today.

Rajendra Kumar, posted in police line, was arrested in the afternoon from the city station and later two stolen bikes were also seized from him, GRP Inspector T R Pandey said here.

Kumar has confessed that "After stealing the bikes, they used to sell them," Pandey said.

Search is on to nab the absconding cop, the police said.
