Orders to release final farm loan waiver instalment issued:

The Telangana government today issued orders for releasing the final instalment of Rs 4,000 crore towards its farm loan waiver scheme.

The loan waiver amount was released in three instalments earlier.

The government had decided to waive loans to the tune of Rs 17,000 crore in four instalments, a key election promise of ruling TRS.

The farm loan waiver scheme benefitted 36 lakh farmers, the state government said.
