Organisation in steel city now vents ire on Valentines

A social organization Rashtriya Jagrukh Yuva Sangathan today went around parks in steel city ostensibly to oppose Valentine Day celebrations.

A group of activists led by its President Kumaresh Upadhyay targetted couples in Gopeshwar Park, Theme Park, Rock Garden, Hudco Park, Millennium Park, Rocket Park and others urging them to leave the place.

"We had only made a polite request not to ape western culture blindly and no force was used," a Sangathan member reasoned.

Police said there was no complaint by any couple and it had no information.
