P B O Warjri is new Meghalaya Chief Information Commissioner

Former Meghalaya Chief Secretary P B O Warjri was today sworn in as the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Meghalaya at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhawan here.

Governor V Shanmuganathan administered the oath of office to the new CIC wherein Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and his cabinet colleagues were also present, besides Chief Secretary K S Kropha and other senior bureaucrats.

Wajri replaces former IAS officer C D Kynjing who held the post since 2011 and is the third CIC in the state.
