Pakistani fighter jets today pounded militants' hideouts in two restive tribal areas bordering Afghanistan, killing at least 21 militants.

At least 10 militants were killed and their three hideouts were destroyed in Khyber tribal region, the army said in a statement.

In another attack, jets targeted two militant hideouts and killed 11 militants in the remote Datta Khel village of restive North Waziristan tribal district, the statement said.

Pakistan launched Zarb-e-Azb military operation in North Waziristan in mid-June, killing around 1,100 rebels so far.

Nearly a million people have fled the offensive in North Waziristan and now are living in makeshift camps.
