Pakistan reached a solid 203-5 in the first Twenty20 against the West Indies in Karachi today, the first international match in the city for nine years.

Debutant Hussain Talat top-scored with a 37-ball 41, hitting two boundaries and a six, while opener Fakhar Zaman got a 24-ball 39 and skipper Sarfraz Ahmed chipped in with 38 off 22 balls after the visitors sent them into bat.

Shoaib Malik scored an unbeaten 37 from 14 balls, as Pakistan equalled their highest Twenty20 international total -- achieved against Bangladesh, also in Karachi, in 2008.
