Palmolein oil edges up on retailers' demand

Palmolein oil prices inched up by Rs 100 per quintal in lacklustre trade at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on mild demand from retailers.

Linseed oil in the non-edible section, also moved up on increased offtake by consuming industries.

Traders attributed the rise in palmolein oil prices to some demand from retailers.

In the national capital, palmolein (RBD) and Palmolein (Kandla) oils were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,950 and Rs 7,000 per quintal respctively.

Among non-edible, linseed oil also looked up by Rs 50 to Rs 9,300 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 800-1,000.

 

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,400, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,700-1,800, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,900, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,300-1,345, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,350-1,450, Sesame Mill delivery Rs 8,900, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 7,750, Soybean Degum (Kandla) Rs 7,350, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 5,400, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 7,000, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,950, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 7,000 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 3,100-3,150.

Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,300, Castor Rs 7,700-7,800, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
