Panmalsala packets seized, one taken into custody

Excise officials have seized 11,800 sachets of panmasala, a banned substance, from a bus at Mancheswaram checkpost in the district today.

The packets were being transported in the bus from Mangalore to Kasargod, officials said.

One person was taken into custody in this connection, they said.
