A Panvel Municipal Council civic official and an accountant who allegedly demanded as well as accepted a bribe from a contractor were caught red handed by the Navi Mumbai Unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), it was officially announced here today evening.

ACB Superintendent Sandeep Karnik said that civil official Sudhakar T Jagtap (45) and accountant Yusuf Mohamad Salle Bedekar (57) allegedly demanded Rs 45,000 from the contractor to clear his dues.
