A Parliamentary panel arrived here today for a three-day visit to review the problems and issues related to MSME sector in the region.
Talking to reporters its Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce and Industry Chairman K C Tyagi said that the team was here as part of a nation-wide review of MSME sector, to study the problems of which major being getting credit from banks.
The committee will study the current status of the industry and the requirements for further improvements, he said.

Stating that, Coimbatore region is holding a prominent place in industrial development, Tyagi said that the committee will also discuss with private entrepreneurs, the major among them being getting the bank loans or capital.
The 35-member committee will visit the nearby Nilgiris district in the next two days, Tyagi said.
