Patient suffering from stomach pains commits suicide

One person, who had severe stomach pain, allegedly committed suicide by slitting his throat at the Alangudi Governemnt Hospital in the district, police said today.

They said Ganesan was being treated for "acute stomach pain" in the hospital.

He had closed the door of the toilet and slit his throat, police said.

He later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, police said.
