PMK chief Ramadoss today asked the Tamil Nadu government to disburse the increment arrears and confirm the services of 590 contract workers of the State-run Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation.
"Increment arrears should be given immediately to Tamil Nadu Cements employees so that they could celebrate Deepavali," he said in a statement here.
"Assuming that on an average each of the employee gets Rs.40,000, the total arrears-disbursal would be less than Rs.2 crore," he said adding the company had 480 permanent employees. He also demanded regularisation of the services of 590 contract employees.
PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss had recently urged the Tamil Nadu government to give 25 per cent bonus to employees of State Public Sector Undertakings, including in the transport sector.
