Police seize 5.8K ltrs of diesel meant to be smuggled to Lanka

About 5,800 litres of diesel meant to be smuggled to Sri Lanka, was seized today from a shed near Kadaladi town in this district, police said.

Acting on a tip off, police raided the shed and found the fuel packed in 28 barrels.

They suspect the diesel was to be smuggled to the island nation as the price is higher there.
