Policeman killed in Naxal attack

A constable was today killed and two other jawans were injured in a Maoist assault at Itkhori in Chatra district, police said here.

Superintendent of Police S N Jha said the Maoists attacked a police party, triggering an encounter near Bhadrakali temple under Itkhori police station.

He said a constable was killed in action and two jawans were injured. The injured were admitted to a hospital in Hazaribagh.
