Pondy pays homage to Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary

Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy led the Union Territory in paying rich tributes to the first Prime Minister of independent India, Jawaharlal Nehru on his 129th birth anniversary Wednesday.

Political leaders, ministers, MLAs and freedom fighters were among those who paid floral tributes at the statue of the leader here.

PCC president and PWD Minister A Namassivayam was among those who paid floral tributes at the portrait of Nehru at a function held on the premises of the PCC earlier.
