Following the darbar move from Jammu to Srinagar, power crisis is increasing in the city day by day, making life miserable in hot weather, JKDF Chairman Anil Gupta told reporters here.
People in Jammu and its adjoining areas are also facing acute water shortage due to inadequate infrastructure of Public Health Engineering (PHE), he said.
Instead of focusing on improving the water supply system, people have been burdened with higher tariff, he rued.
Gupta said bungalows of ministers and other VIPs should be brought under the purview of metering.
He said Power Development Department staff should be made accountable for recovering revenue from other parts of the state besides Jammu.
