Prez to give away Rajbhasa awards tomorrow

President Pranab Mukherjee will present the Rajbhasa awards for 2014-15 in various categories on the occasion of Hindi Divas tomorrow.

Mukherjee will present these awards at a function to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, an official release said today.

The function will be presided over by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh while Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju will also be present on the occasion, it said.

Instituted by the Rajbhasha Vibhag (Department of Official Language) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Rajbhasa awards are given away for excellent contribution of ministries, departments and nationalized banks among others in the field of Hindi.
