President Pranab Mukherjee will lay foundation the stone for the Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics at Bengaluru tomorrow.
After visiting Karnataka, the President will be in Ahmednagar, Maharasthra on April 15 where he will give away the President's Standard Award to the Armoured Corps Centre and School, an official statement said.
The proposed institution is modelled on the London School of Economics. The state government has approved Rs 150 crore in the first phase for construction of the building.
The institution will include the main administrative block, student hostels and auditorium, three seminar halls and residential accommodation for regular faculty.
The school is likely to commence from the 2017-18 academic year.
