The President, the Vice President and the Prime Minister today greeted the Parsis on the occasion of their New Year 'Navroz', saying the festival is a reflection of the rich diversity and inclusiveness of Indian culture.
"Navroz symbolises new beginnings and is seen as a harbinger of peace and prosperity. The festival reminds us of the rich diversity and inclusiveness of our culture," said President Pranab Mukherjee.
Conveying his wishes, Vice President Hamid Ansari said Navroz "is an important symbol of our rich heritage and a vibrant composite culture".

In his message, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Navroz is a celebration of nature and is dedicated to renewal, righteous living and harmony.
"It marks the unity in diversity of Indian culture with the focus on human values".
