The principal and vice-principal of a private management college in Tadigadapa here were arrested today for allegedly beating four students, police said.
Principal Cherukuri Raghu Babu and Vice-principal Koneru Rama Krishna Prasad were arrested following a complaint registered by parents of one of the injured students last night, inspector Penamaluru police station Ramachanra Rao said.
According to police, the four students- Munwar Hussain, Satish, Saidulu and Raghavendra, along with some other students of the institute were to appear for Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Tests today and had reportedly went to sleep early last night, avoiding studies.

Irked, the principal, called the four students to his office and allegedly began beating them indiscriminately along with the vice-principal, the inspector added.
All the injured students including Munwar Hussain, whose hand was fractured, were later taken to a private hospital for treatment.
