Prof R J Rao appointed VC of Barkatullah University

Professor R J Rao, Rector of Gwalior-based Jiwaji University, has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Barkatullah University here, an official said.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel made the appointment Monday, said a state Public Relations Department official.

Rao will have a tenure of four years.

Patel also gave additional charge as Vice Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University to D D Agarwal, who is secretary to the Governor, till further orders or the appointment of a regular Vice Chancellor, the official said.

Six-month-long term of Professor Ravindra R Kanhere as Vice Chancellor of Bhoj Open University ended Monday, the official said.
