Promo song of serial on Kedarnath launched

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat launched the promotional song of the serial based on the Himalayan Shrine of Kedarnath Temple along with singer Kailash Kher.

The serial which seeks to tell people about the religious significance of the shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva has been jointly made by Uttarakhand government and Kher. The song was launched by Rawat at his residence last night.

Titled "Baba Kedar", the series will be divided into 12 episodes with eight devotional songs including the promotional track "Jai Jai Kedara", the chief minister said at the launch.

An unprecedented deluge hit Kedarnath Temple on June16 in 2013 at the peak of the chardham yatra season claiming lives of thousands of people including devotees.
