Property of eight riot accused attached

The property of eight persons, who were wanted in connection with the riots in the district, has been attached by the police on the orders of a court here.

The property of eight accused Anuj, Devender, Puppu, Nilu, Prashant, Vinod Kumar, Bablu and Amit Kumar, who were declared absconding by the court, has been attached, Dy SP, S P Singh said today.

The accused are absconding since their involvement in the riots case at Kutba village in the district came to light last year.

Eight persons Waheed, Shamshad, Irshad, Trabuddin, Kayyum, Fayyaz, Momin and Khaton Begum were killed by the rioters in Kutba village in the district on September 8, 2013.
 

The son of deceased Shamshad had lodged an FIR against 111 people in this connection.

During investigation, SIT had found involvement of more than 50 people in the case.
