Protests in Ludhiana over UP clashes

Activists of various Sikh organisations including the Sikh Students Federation (SSF) today protested against the Uttar Pradesh government for its alleged failure in containing violence in Saharanpur.

Protesters raised slogans against the UP government and demanded immediate dismissal of the Akhilesh Yadav-led government.

SSF city president Gurvinder Singh and a prominent Sikh youth leader Gurdip Singh Gosha also demanded a high level enquiry into the clashes that took place yesterday in Saharanpur leading to the death of three persons.

They also burnt the effigies of UP Chief Minister at chowk clocktower and Jagraon bridge here today.
