A fire broke out at a Durga Puja pandel with a height of 70 feet here today.
The fire, broke out at about 9.30 AM, was soon doused by local people and fire brigade personnel, Superintendent of Police Kuldip Dwivedi said.
Short circuit could be the reason for the fire in the Rs 35 lakh pandal built on the theme of earth quake that hit Nepal last year.
The pandal would be open for viitors in the afternoon, a puja organisor said.
