Pune: three policemen dead as police jeep falls into gorge

Three policemen died in a road accident near Saswad in the district late last night, police said here today.

A Bolero jeep in which they were travelling fell down 300 ft into a gorge along the ghat on the Supe-Panavdi road near Saswad, police said.

Mangled wreckage of the jeep was recovered today.

The deceased cops were identified as constables Shashikant Raut, Ulhas Mayekar and Avinash Dhole.
