Punjab Cabinet today approved the summoning of 12th session of the 14th Punjab Vidhan Sabha from March 8 for passing the 2016-2017 annual budget.
A decision to this effect was taken by the Cabinet in its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal here.
Disclosing this, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said that the budget session would commence on March 8 with Governor's address.
The session would be adjourned sine die on March 22.
The Cabinet also gave nod to the Governor's address to be delivered by the Punjab Governor in the assembly during the Budget session.
This will be the last budget session of the present SAD-BJP alliance government as the state is slated to go for assembly polls early next year.
