The Punjab Education Ministry today suspended eight officials including a District Education Officer (DEO) of Faridkot for negligence in duty.
Punjab Education Minister Sikander Singh Maluka suspended Faridkot DEO (Sr. Sec) Amarjit Singh, junior assistant Roop Singh, superintendents Balwinder Singh and Bal Kishan, clerks Jagdish Chand and Jarnail Singh from Ludhiana and Harjinder Singh from Ropar, besides a computer faculty Sarbjit Singh at Hoshiarpur.
The minister also sought an explanation from DEOs of Ropar, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur for sending wrong and incomplete information regarding inter-district transfers.
