Actor Josh Hopkins has been signed on for thriller film "Crown Vic," helmed by writer and director Joel Souza.
According to Variety, the 47-year old actor, famous for playing Liam O'Connor in ABC's Quantico," will co-star with Thomas Jane in the cop movie.
Hopkins will play an unhinged seasoned LAPD officer, who runs loose in another cop's patrol zone, played by Lane.
"Crown Vic" takes place over one eventful night and follows an LAPD veteran officer who takes a young police recruit out on patrol to make him aware of the harsh realities of life behind the wheels.
Hopkins' next role is on the third season of HBO's acclaimed crime show "True Detective." He previously featured in the comedy series "Cougar Town" opposite Courteney Cox.
The film will be produced by Anjul Nigam under his Brittany House Pictures banner, along with Alec Baldwin's El Dorado Pictures, Gregg Bello, Maxx Tsai's China-based Wudi Pictures along with Peter Toumbekis.
