Raj govt launches helpline to register corruption complaints

To bring transparency and accountability in the bureaucracy, Rajasthan government today launched a free helpline number for the people to lodge complaints against suspected corrupt officials in the state.

The toll free number 1800-180-6127 was launched on the direction of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, according to an official release here.

Anyone can lodge a complaint against an employee or officer using this portal service, the release said.

The Chief Minister was today apprised of a Transport Inspector's, Ramveer Singh, case of alleged corruption and extortion, after which he was served 'awaiting posting order' (APO).

The state government would not tolerate corruption at any level in the governance and public works, the release said.
