Raj: I-T department raids 25 business establishments

The income tax department today conducted raids on 25 premises belonging to various firms dealing in jewellery business and real estate.

The raids were carried out at 24 premises in Jaipur and one in Mumbai after reports of tax evasion, officials said.

Around 250 personnel, including policemen, are conducting the search and seizure operation, which is likely to continue till tomorrow.

Details of the raids, however, have not been disclosed.
