Ration allowance for police personnel hiked by Rs 500
The Mamata Banerjee government today decided to increase the ration allowance of police personnel, below the rank of Inspector, by Rs 500 effective October this year.
According to a senior official of the state government, the ration allowance of police personnel belonging to Kolkata Police as well as West Bengal Police will be given ration allowance of Rs 1,500 per month, from Rs 1,000 earlier.
