Rawate appointed All India Mahila Congress Gen Secy

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today appointed Chhattisgarh Mahila Congress chief Anita Rawate as general secretary of the All India Mahila Congress.

Rawate has been replaced by prominent woman tribal leader and former MLA Phoolo Devi Netam as the Chhattisgarh Mahila Congress chief. The appointments cleared by the party leadership.

"Congress vice president and incharge of Mahila Congress Rahul Gandhi has approved the appointment of Anita Rawate as All India General Secretary of Mahila Congress and Phoolo Devi Netam as Chhattisgarh Pradesh Mahila Congress chief," said AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi in a release.

The Congress is trying to revive its unit in Chhattisgarh and has thus initiated these changes.
