Refined soya oil prices moved down by 0.56 per cent to Rs 616.05 per 10 kg in futures trading today after participants lightened positions amid sluggish demand at the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month February fell by Rs 3.45, or 0.56 per cent to Rs 616.05 per 10 kg with an open interest of 67,200 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in January contracts traded lower by Rs 3, or 0.48 per cent to Rs 620.55 per 10 kg in 90,320 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to subdued demand at the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts.
