Remand of Sri Lankan fishermen extended
A local court here today extended the remand of five Sri Lankan fishermen, arrested by Marine Police last month on charges of fishing in Indian waters, to October 11.
The fishermen -- A Kumarvazz, V Anthony Ceratius Viral, R Anthonynewman, A Immanuel and J Leon -- were arrested on September 17.
They would be lodged in the sub jail at Srivaintam here.
