Report news impartially & without fear: Manipur Minister to

Manipur Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Karam Shyam today asked journalists in the state to report news "impartially and without fear."

Speaking at a workshop on 'Challenges before the Media' here he said "a state cannot achieve development if the media is not allowed to function independently."

The minister stressed on the need to report news with accountability and by maintaining media ethics.

The workshop was organised today on the occasion of National Press Day. Eight journalists were awarded for their contribution in reporting in different fields.
