Robbers' gang busted, one kg gold recovered in Mhow

The mastermind of the gang Sohan was already in a jail of Harda district jail, Additional SP (Rural) Padamvilochan Shukl told PTI.

Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed the robbers when the gang was on way to loot a petrol pump in Manpur, he said.

These robbers had allegedly looted about Rs one crore cash and gold from the house of a handloom businessman in Mhow on February 29, Shukl said.

Out of the booty, police recovered one kg gold and Rs one lakh from them, he added.

The members, hailing from Gandwani and Rajgarh cities, confessed to their involvement in over 100-150 cases of robberies in Mhow and other parts of the state in recent years, he said.

 

Those arrested were identified as - Chabri Bai, Gulabsingh, Noorsingh, Nilesh, Pawan and Yashwant, he added.
